A Step in the PAWSitive Direction!

I was inspired by a little composition made by the esteemed Fred Alimusa for PAWS. It was a short, witty, funny and a pawsitively pawbulous skit about two dogs discussing PAWS, which I’m not gonna put up here. But short and sweet, it’s a PAWSitive step on the right track! Check this out -cLicKy-:

PAWSitive Living
So, whacha think? Kinda nice, ei? Rough around the edges, sure. Come on, I did this in a few minutes, with Ms. Sy in the background YM-ing for fizz and fruitshakes (oooh… fruitshakes… I havent uploaded that blog entry yet…) I think we should remove the green cat to the right of stay pawsitive. What about the PARC logo? Email me for suggestions. Or comment.

Metal Dog Tags

Dog City Metal Dog Tags

I’ve been recieving inquiries regarding the personalized metal dog tags that many pets are donning at the moment. There’s really not much to say about it except this few tips:

  1. Get the one from Doggieland: Pet Tags
    • These are MORE durable. True, you only get the basics. You have limited (but already of a varied set) stainless steel frames to choose from, but this will still have served its purpose. Plus it will last longer. Practically and personally speaking, get these stainless steel frames.
    • PhP 350.00 basic order
      • Stainless Steel Tag, 0.050″ thick with ring/hoop
      • Total of 4 lines on the front and/or back of the tag
      • 15 characters per line
      • PhP 40.00 additional per line
      • MAXIMUM of 8 lines (max: 4 additional)
      • Full Payment required
      • For pick up either on the day itself, or on the next couple of days.
  2. Don’t get one from Metazza, unless maybe you’ll use it for your indoor cat
    • “Wear and tear” people. The ones made from Metazza are, yes, way prettier and customizable- BUT they also fade easier. Let’s take into consideration the fact that our dogs or cats would wear this. It’s gonne get tried and tested like a Range Rover on the roll. There’s heat, water, mud, spit, and other elements that our fur babies come across in their daily lives. If the letters on the tag fades away, then the frame would be nothing but of ornamental, not practical.
    • PhP -to follow-
      • Different frames to choose from
      • Letters or graphics are embossed on the frame

Testimonials to follow. To those who have tried either or other metal dog tags, please post your testimonial thru the comment area below. Thank you

Whiskers and Pawprints

Whiskers and Pawprints is a recent addition to the many strips of shops and stalls of whatnots along Katipunan Avenue.

My friend Liza, who lives in UP Village, boasts of their speedy delivery. Daig pa Pizza hut LOL! Should you be in a need for kibbles, I suggest you drop them a line over at 926 1813 or 433 5344. Look for Marlene. Better to have your items delivered to your doorstep, than you going there yourself and lugging on about 15 kilos of dogfood all the way. Their carry all common and popular kibbles, at the same rates they are sold elsewhere. (Royal Canin, Euka, Pedigree, Alpo, etc etc)

Aside from their quick kibble delivery, the shop also gains brownie points for the affordable merchandise for cats and dogs. I especially love the cute purple Guillitone Nail Cutter! Sigh, mine's in black. They also have a retractable leash available at only PhP 280.00 (around $6 USD). Their doggy clothes range from PhP 200.00 - PhP 250.00.

They have cute dog beds in pink, blue, and other patterns and colors. Dog toys packaged in mizes of three (three different toys) for only PhP 200.00 - PhP 250.00. There's also this cute lace collar for only PhP 70.00! Woot!

When you get there, be sure to look around- everywhere. I saw these cute brush/massage mits like the ones my cats go gaga for when I went there, not so noticeable coz it was dumped behind some of the other items. At PhP 80.00, they're a bargain!

They also have items for fishes, rabbits, hamsters, etc.

Their staff are very friendly! Chat with them, trust me!

Their store is also in partnership with Beside-Heart Animal Clinic 443 5303 (above their store, 2nd Floor), with resident vets Dr. Edelyn Guerrero Juan 0918 452 8803 and Dr. Aries (crap i forgot his last name uh-oh..) 0918 537 6832

Whiskers and Pawprints Pet Shop is located in 335 Agcor Bldg., Katipunan Avenue, Loyola Heights, Quezon City. Near Cello's, Overpass, Citibank. You'll see a driveway in the building complex, just go inside and it's on your left. It's not located directly beside the main road.
